OUR COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS:
Our organizing is guided by CFA’s anti-racist agenda and practices of interrupting racism, informed by gender and intersectional dynamics. We have no tolerance for oppressive behaviors, and are committed to flag them and correct them when they occur.
Our organizing is guided by the principle of enhancing and developing rank-and-file power in our union. We wish to enable and develop bottom-up democratic spaces in the union.
In our campaign, we are committed to providing verifiable and truthful information to union members, and to make informed, collective recommendations about the best way forward. We are against manipulating or distorting facts, and we will not relay unfounded narratives or unchecked information.
In our campaign, we will steer away from personalizing differences and debates. Our movement encourages all to share different views on union strategy and needs, and to respect personal differences among members. We are absolutely opposed to any doxxing, harassment or intimidation of union members and/or staff under any circumstances.
In our campaign, we will actively oppose any anti-union arguments we encounter, encourage all non-members to join the union to make it stronger and to have their voice heard, and urge those who are considering leaving to stay. We also advise union members against any decertification campaign; this is OUR union and we will work together to build collective bargaining power.
